The New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute is accepting applications for its Class of 2023 Regional Leadership Program, which is scheduled to begin in October 2022.
The deadline to apply for the Regional Leadership Program is June 30 and, if accepted, participants must pay a nonrefundable tuition fee of $3,000 to cover all program costs, materials, meals, and other expenses associated with pensions. Limited support through program scholarships is available as needed, and payment plans are available.
Since 2000, the institute has selected more than 900 individuals to participate in its Regional Leadership Program, the organization’s flagship leadership development program. Open to all business, civic and public sector leaders in the 10 parish area – Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington – the approach is rooted in regionalism, inclusiveness and impartiality. This is an opportunity to learn and collaborate with influential thought leaders and decision makers in Southeast Louisiana.
Each year, the program brings together approximately 55 diverse leaders committed to improving individual skills, increasing awareness and understanding of civic issues, fostering the expansion of professional networks, and strengthening collaborative leadership. Through a variety of presentations, panels, tours, and activities, key regional and state issues are dissected and discussed, and concepts and relationships are built through a shared learning experience.

The nine-month program – which will begin in October 2022 and end in June 2023 – includes two retreats and seven full-day sessions. The program curriculum examines public policy, education, health care, economic development, diversity and equity, criminal justice, and the environment, and analyzes the impact of these focus areas on the development and quality of life in the New Orleans area.
NORLI will host a series of six information sessions at various locations in the Greater New Orleans area for interested applicants to learn more about the program and how to apply. Program alumni and current program participants will be on hand to discuss program benefits and answer questions. All NORLI information sessions are free and open to the public.
